Yep, it doesn't say that it literally means children, and it doesn't have to. I think it's up to the player.

On the subject of hammers, you're right that GW style mauls were almost never used, other than perhaps as make shift weapons... even the vikings weren't that stupid. Real hammers were smaller, lighter and most commonly had a piercing blade, much like a pick or crowbill hammer.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_hammer
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseman%27s_pick
But stupid fantasy weapons aside, in the real world the sword lived on long past the advent of firearms, the cost, reliability and slow loading times of fire arms made the sword a necessity...
Seeing as how the Guild Wars world is going to be wracked by a cataclysm, technology might not advance as we might expect, the presence of magic would also remove the impetus for many technological advances. Single shot firearm with poor accuracy, horrid reload time and a tendency to explode maiming it's wielder or simply cast Meteor shower and nuke the crap out of whatever was bothering you... I really can't see why anyone would even think about developing firearms in such a fantasy world.
And by Lyssa, why is everyone obsessed with Livia? I swear she's a line trap...
Is that a Staff of Orr under your skirt or are you just glad to see... wait a second

Im just about to watch it in youtube to check hang on...
yeah so we see the player and the rest of the party walking off and then at the end of the cutscene(presumeably right after the great destroyer is killed) primordus opens an eye ans then the screen goes black and we hear primordus roaring/screeching. So it is quite possible that primordus wakes up and kills us!
HOOOOOORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AY!
|
Actually no. Primordus wakes up two generations after the Great Destroyer dies. Out characters are grand-daddies/mommies by then.

Adoption and disciples (teacher passing on his things to a student) instead of blood lineage. Also, Pyre's and Vekk's and Jora's descendants. It isn't said that they are all descended from our characters but instead that the heroes are "the children of legens" aka could be descended from our heroes. This also opens up Tengu and Centaurs (Talon and Zhed).

Although the OP is /fail,
Many people are saying GW2 is about your char's descendant. Well I'm sorry, but I doubt humans can reproduce with Norns/Sylvari/Charr/Asura, so you're just going to HAVE to play a human if/when GW2 comes out. You boxed yourself in on that one.
Seriously, its obvious that the character you make in GW2 will inherit the "legacy" of your GW char, be it as your char reincarnated (my favorite option) or simply because your character is destined to become a hero like your GW1 char.
But if the dragon kills us all after the end of EOTN before our chars can fully be remembered... I'd call this a subtle hint that GW2 really is vaporware.

Quiet, or else they'll really put furbies in GW 2.
You have to grind them 24/7 or they turn feral.

Can't you just close it now? Or is it out of your jurisdiction in Riverside?

Doh! Now I have to remake my family tree! lol
Oh well, there are lots of options for how your GW2 chars will relate to your GW1 chars. It's all a matter of opinion if you ask me.

Like I said, it doesn't say descendants of our characters in game, but of heroes. Heroes of Legend include the heroes and henchmen. Which opens up Dwarves, Asura, Norn, Charr, Centaurs, and Tengu.
Also, it is said via this quest that Norn and Humans can mate. I even made a theory in the Lore forum that the Norn are descended from Human - becoming what they are via evolution, and the biologist lorist Toutatis furthered my theory stating that the Norn could easily be a sub-species of humans, thus making them different but inter-mate-able.

Not a Riverside mod. I can only mod things in Druid's Overlook.

I had many chidren already. A few to Cynn but she got all crazy. Had one to Jora but I couldn't handle a child bigger than me to start with so I ended it. (And despite her size she was a blubbering mess. Not tough like I thought.) Have a stable relationship with Herta. Can get feisty when I take them all out together but I handle them.
Last I saw my kids they were heading over to the Zaishen menagerie with a Moss Spider Egg I got off Nick this week. Hope they bring me back something nice. they are such good kids.

In the same way 'bald' is not the same as 'balding', it is not sleeping nor awake. It's awakening.
When you sleep thousands of years and live miriads, the '5 extra minutes to awake' will be much longer.
